I am usually very controlled on the floor. If I get weeded, I just take a deep breath and keep going. I can always work myself out of the weeds without too much damage.
Except for Sunday.
It was SLOW. Like, slower then I’ve EVER seen a Sunday Morning.
I decide to break the girl next to me, so I get cut and go home. She has one 6 top that is almost done eating. I have two 6 tops are that ready for their bills.
One of my six tops wants dessert and the other wants a gift card. At the same time, they seat a party of 14.
What. The. Fuck.
I run out the gift card and check, start grabbing plates off the 6top that is now done eating, and this party of 14 is getting settled into their seats.
No way I can run grab desserts, run 3 checks AND start a party of 14 in the proper amount of time. I run and ask my manager to grab the desserts and my BF (thankfully) runs to start the party for me. As I’m walking out I see that they sat me ANOTHER party of 4. WTF?!
My manager sees and greets them as I’m grabbing CC’s from the 3 tables.
As I come out again with the desserts (the kitchen was taking forever so I got to them before Manager A.) and I have ANOTHER new down.
*Insert meltdown*
After everything settled down, and I got stiffed a couple rounds, I ask if I can please be cut and go home. They say yes.
I very rarely melt down. But It does happen sometimes. I mean, that shit was overwhelming.
So I went and practiced some Retail Therapy, and bought some sexy items for my Anniversary which was last night. But that is a WHOLE different kind of post. One that doesn’t belong here
