Three Course Menu

Posted by Cassy on November 28, 2007

3CourseMenuIt is FINALLY over!

Yes, The dreaded FRiDAY’s 3 Course Menu. Appetizer, Entree and Dessert, all for $12.99. I admit, before I worked at FRiDAY’S, I ordered this once. ONCE.

This brings in the lowest of the low. The worst – when people find ad’s for it in their papers, and bring it in thinking it’s a coupon. Those are always the scraglers. The white trash in sweatpants stained with who-knows-what and dandruff filled hair. I cringe every time I approach these tables. They make me feel like I have to take a long hot shower after work.

There is a slight swell of pride in my chest, when someone demands our 3 course menu, and I get to tell them…

“Oh Miss, I am SO SORRY! The 3 Course Menu Promotion Ended Last week! Would you like to add a caeser salad or a cup of French Onion Soup to your meal tonight?”

Adieu, 3 Course Menu.

I know we will meet again, and I will continue to fight you.

Carol, The Crazy Margarita Lady

Posted by Cassy on November 28, 2007

We used to have an older lady who would frequent our store 3-4 nights a week. Always sitting in the same area of small booths, and ordered the same drinks and meal.

She would order a grand margarita (slushied – not on the rocks or frozen) with an extra shot in the drink, and then a shot on the side to sip. I guess the super strong marg was a chaser for her shot?

I dunno.

Anyways, she would have usually 2 rounds and some salmon, and take some mashed potatoes home for her kitties.

She frequently would either give me her entire wallet instead of the check presenter back, try to pay the bill 3 or more times, or think she payed the bill and add a tip and sign the actual reciept, while her card was in the check presenter.

She was kinda looney, and a drunk.

But she was really nice and would always ask about our lives and such, even though she didn’t remember who we were the next night.

The added bonus – not only was she fun to watch, (once she tried to open locked cupboards by the service bar, and asked me why the bathroom door was locked, and when did we move the bathrooms?)

But she always tipped 40 bucks or more. Once she gave me 100$ on 50$.

Her tab usually was about 50.

I don’t know if it was alzheimers or something of that kind.

Eventually we had to stop serving her because one night she could find her car in the parking lot and a hostess had to drive her home in her car with a busser following in his car to bring the hostess back.

I miss her crazy antics.

(I have to admit, I miss the money too)
